A tremendous moment for the Barcelona Open as their star Rafael Nadal , returned. After suffering an injury ahead of 2023, the Spaniard was sidelined for almost a year before he attempted a comeback.

However, his comeback didn’t go as planned as he faced another micro-injury that kept him out of the Australian Open and the tournaments that followed. Desperate to return, the Spaniard waited for the perfect moment to resume his comeback.

After much wait, the Spaniard finally returned at the Barcelona Open, where he has a wonderful record. With 12 titles, there is no perfect tournament for the Spaniard to play in. The crowd erupted in cheers as the 37-year-old made his way onto the court.

Two years later, Nadal returned to court, and the crowd was thrilled as he did his usual warmup. Just after the toss, he sprinted in his typical fashion to get ready to serve. While the fans want Nadal to win another title in Barcelona, the Spaniard just hopes to remain unscathed and all healed up for the 2024 French Open.

Rafael Nadal crushes Italian Flavio Cobolli to win in straight sets

All eyes were on the Spanish Maestro Rafael Nadal, as he made his way onto court to take on Flavio Cobolli. A huge wait for the home fans, who were used to the Spaniard’s brilliance on the court.

Surprisingly, it seemed like the Spaniard was not even a bit off, as he crushed Cobolli with his forehand and moved like nothing happened. Smooth as ever, the Barcelona crowd witnessed yet another Rafa magic on his court.

He took on the Italian with utmost confidence as he cruised past him. It was Nadal up a set in no time. Despite a rather slow start, he got his form back, winning 6-2 in the first set. The second set was also not any different, as the Spaniard took the first break of the set, before going on to take the win, 6-2, 6-3. A huge and much-needed momentum boost for Nadal, who hasn’t played much in the past two years, as he would hope to carry it for the rest of the season.
