Paris Saint-Germain will likely need to replace Kylian Mbappé’s production if reports of his departure this summer hold true. Many anticipate his move to Real Madrid as a free agent, which means PSG must start considering which player(s) can step up to maintain the team’s goal-scoring abilities next season.

In recent months, there’s been talk about the Parisians considering different players as they shape their team for the post-Mbappé era. Among the names mentioned in connection to the French giants is Victor Osimhen, the standout player from Napoli.

However, the capital club will have a new rival if they want to sign the 25-year-old goal scorer. According to Corriere Dello Sport (h/t GOAL), Liverpool are set to join PSG to sign the Nigerian striker.

The Italian media outlet highlights that PSG has reportedly made a staggering offer of €90 million upfront, with an additional €40 million in add-ons, making the total package worth €130 million.

Given Darwin Núñez’s misfiring performances in the final stages of the season, it’s become even more apparent that Liverpool needs to bolster their attacking lineup. Osimhen’s prolific goal-scoring record and versatile playing style make him an appealing target for the Merseyside club.
