Tacko Fall Is Heading Abroad To Continue His Career
Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports

Tacko Fall was supposed to be one of the biggest players in the NBA.

Well, in many literal ways he was.

Yet, in other ways, he failed to really take off as people expected and his star never rose as fans wanted.

Now Fall is headed overseas to try his luck in another league.

He just signed a one-year deal in the Chinese Basketball Association with Xinjiang.

Will we ever see Fall return to the NBA or are his days playing in America completed?

Farewell To Fall

It’s not every day that you see someone like Fall.

The 7-foot-6 center is obviously downright massive.

Yet, at 26 years old, Fall has had a hard time finding a stable, long-term home in the NBA.

He first started in 2019-20 with the Boston Celtics, where he only played in seven games and averaged 3.3 points in just 4.7 minutes played.

Things weren’t any better when he made his way to the Cleveland Cavaliers, with 1.1 points on average in just over 5 minutes a game.

Fall did some work in the Summer League.

Fans were always excited to see him on the court but he just wasn’t becoming a true force of nature on the court.

He will have many more opportunities in China.

Chinese fans will love to see someone with his size and wingspan.

In fact, that alone might find him legions of followers.

He might actually be leading a team overseas, which could work wonders on enhancing his skills and making him a better player.

Chances are that he won’t return to play in the US but you never know – we might not have seen the last of Fall in the NBA.
