The Utah Jazz are possibly entertaining an idea that seemed impossible just one year ago: they’re thinking about trading Donovan Mitchell.

That’s the latest rumor, anyway, and it seems that a few teams around the NBA are putting together possible packages to land the superstar.

Just the concept of Mitchell leaving the Jazz is sending shock waves through the league.

Richard Jefferson understands the excitement around Mitchell’s future but he also sees people being unfair.

For days now, we have heard people decry and bad mouth Kevin Durant for his demand to be traded from the Brooklyn Nets even though he has several years left on his contract.

Yet, those same people, according to Jefferson, are open to the concept of Mitchell being traded.

“But if he asked for a trade it would be ‘we’ve got to do something about these players’,” Jefferson said, commenting on how people are okay with the Jazz not honoring the entire length a contract but are upset about Durant doing the same thing.

That’s not a bad point from the former NBA star.

Naysayers All Around

The inevitable Durant trade has people spouting an awful lot of opinions.

No matter if they support Durant or hate him, people are very fired up about the entire situation.

It’s gotten to the point that even the NBA has commented on Durant’s desire to leave, as commissioner Adam Silver said how he wished players would honor their entire contracts.

It’s obviously got people feeling some serious things.

But what you see now will only be taken up a notch whenever Durant’s deal eventually comes through.

If you think people are opinionated now, wait until Durant finally finds a new home.
