ESPN has banned Milwaukee Bucks guard Patrick Beverley from appearing on its studio shows, such as “First Take” and “Get Up,” after an altercation with a producer during a post-game NBA media session, according to Front Office Sports.

The incident occurred after the Bucks’ loss to the Indiana Pacers, resulting in playoff elimination, when Beverley confronted ESPN producer Malinda Adams. Upon learning Adams did not subscribe to his podcast, Beverley attempted to exclude her from interviewing him and physically pushed her microphone away while directing her to leave the area.

This conduct led to immediate backlash within ESPN, prompting the network to prohibit Beverley from future guest appearances on their shows. When FSO reached out for comment to ESPN, the company declined but stated support for Adams.

“Malinda is a well-respected colleague and a true professional. She has our full support,” the spokesperson said.

The incident adds to a troubling night for Beverley, who was also seen throwing basketballs at fans during the game, with one throw ultimately hitting a woman. This series of actions has resulted in the ESPN ban and led to widespread criticism of Beverley’s behavior, overshadowing his contributions to the game.
