New York Mets star Yoenis Cespedes last appeared in a regular-season game back on July 20, 2018. That’s 734 days in between games before the former All-Star joined his Mets team in making their season debut against the Atlanta Braves Friday afternoon.
In true Cespedes fashion, the boisterous Cuban used the “Lion King” theme song as his walk-up music before his first at-bat.

Cespedes underwent two heel surgeries between August and October 2018. Then he suffered a fractured ankle in a freak accident on his ranch. In short, he was injured during an altercation with a wild boar.
By going with this song, Cespedes is pretty much saying he’s the king of the jungle. The boar has nothing on this dude.
Unfortunately, Cespedes popped out in his first at-bat. We’re sure he’ll be back with a roar later in the game.
